"When installing and opening the Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 (IE8) web browser for the first time, I noticed the crisp looking feel to it. Website loading times to msn.com is considerably quicker compared to the previous version of Internet Explorer; the feel and the look of the browser is superb - it reminds me of Vista's vibrant look" - Martin S, IE8 WEB BROWSER TESTER
Website tabs are still utilised in the new version of the web browser, but with a new twist - there is a new "Quick Tab" function that allows you to view all active website tabs in the one window. This is a very useful feature in my opinion, as you can visually identify the website you are looking for. For example, it is especially useful when you have several website tabs and can't see the tab headers; all you have to do is click the Quick Tab and there it is.
A new unique feature in Internet Explorer 8 is the InPrivate privacy option. When InPrivate is turned on, you will be able to browse the internet and not worry about temporary files being saved to your computer; or worry about your browsing activity being saved to your history folder. Don't you just hate having to delete your browsing history in case your spouse may think you are looking up something dodgy? - I am definitely using this option when browsing the internet. InPrivate also prevent websites from collecting tracking information about the users' website visits.
Cons about Internet Explorer 8 are minimal. The specific reason why I choose Firefox over IE is because Firefox uses minimal coding to display websites; therefore, websites that displayed pop up ads or other windows while I was browsing the internet were blocked.
The built in Pop-Up blocker in IE8 has restored my pleasurable browsing experience - allowing me to browse the internet without any worries of an annoying pop up being pushed in my face. I found in the previous Internet Explorer, some pop-ups could bypass the filter; I have not seen this happen to me yet.
VERDICT: Even though Internet Explorer 8 is still in its Beta Stages, the web browser is remarkably stable compared to previous versions of Explorer. I personally recommend you try Internet Explorer 8 when the final version is released.
